Buffy Williams-Robinson

Founder, Creative Director, Light Chaser

Buffy is a true 70s baby, having grown up in Angourie (North Coast) back when it was a small surfing enclave at the end of a long one-lane road. That magical time left a lasting imprint on her, an aesthetic shaped by the experience of a swirling 70s coastal wilderness - The light, the fashion, the music, and the vibe.

Her beautiful hippy mother, Lyndall - a lover of photography and fashion - inspired artistry and an appreciation for beauty. Her late father - legendary surfboard shaper Wayne Williams -  taught Buffy that a creative path can be navigated through craftsmanship and hard work.

Wayne Williams’ Wilderness Surfboards brand lives on and is still owned by Buffy’s Family today.

Buffy has over 20 years experience working in photography, fashion and publishing including curating, casting, styling and laying out 100’s of international photoshoots for glossy magazines including Tracks and FHM.

She has written and launched branding campaigns for 100's of large fashion clients including Nike, Glue Store and Havaianas.

Buffy has a Diploma in Professional Photography and is currently working on her Bachelor of Arts in Photography.

Buffy sees beauty everywhere, and her photos reflect this. She has a wonderful eye - caring, motherly, dreamy - she describes herself as a light chaser, a storyteller, a lover of family, friends and the sea.

Buffy captures all of this in her photography - she calls them “Coastal moments captured in time”.

Jackson Daley

Aerial photographer

What started out as a fun hobby introduced by my grandfather, aerial photography and videography has now become my passion.

Throughout 2016 I have explored all aspects of amateur aerial photography, from editing my work, to getting that perfect shot in difficult environments.

As the oldest of four brothers, and coming from a long line of action sports enthusiasts, I gained a passion for capturing those moments on a Gopro, later moving to aerial photography.

From a young age I was introduced to snowboarding, surfing, skating, waterskiing, motorsports and more, and I have also been intrigued by gadgets and cutting edge technology, and joining these two areas to create great everlasting memories and helping to tell great stories.

‘Your photos are just magic’

( Michelle, Currumbin, Gold Coast)

The Sea Society photographer, Buffy Williams- Robinson was wonderful to work with during my maternity photo shoot. She took the time to get to know both my husband and I, and to understand the vision we wanted to capture in our photographs. Buffy worked with us to ensure we felt comfortable and relaxed during the shoot and incorporated lots of creative ideas that really made our photographs shine! She went above and beyond to edit the photos in a timely manner and deliver them to us before our baby had arrived. We are so happy with our stunning photos, they are a gift we will always treasure. Thank you Buffy for capturing such a special time in our lives.
